In response to the White House statement on Trump’s Iran strategy, Tehran stated that the US cannot evade its responsibilities by accusing others, Iranian state TV reports on Friday.

Earlier it was reported that Trump’s administration plans to change Iran’s “reckless” behavior, which presents one of the most dangerous threats to US interests and stability in the Middle East, a White House material on the issue, seen by Sputnik, reads.

“The reckless behavior of the Iranian regime, and the IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] in particular, poses one of the most dangerous threats to the interests of the United States and to regional stability. The Iranian regime has taken advantage of regional conflicts and instability to aggressively expand its regional influence and threaten its neighbors with little domestic or international cost for its actions,” the press release read.

It is expected that Donald Trump will make a statement on the new Iranian strategy later Friday.

Moreover, according to some media report that the US president is likely to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation.

The US and its regional allies are founder and main backers of terrorism, Tehran stated in response.

“Iran will strongly respond to any action against its military forces, including the Revolutionary Guards Corps,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi was quoted as saying by state TV.
