Naoya Inoue will join the World Boxing Super Series bantamweight tournament after beating Jamie McDonnell.
The ‘Monster’ won the WBA ‘World’ world title in explosive style in Tokyo, ending McDonnell’s four-year reign inside the first round.
Inoue (16-0-KO14) is now a three-weight world champion but is already focused on the knockout tournament.
“I have received official offer from WBSS before this fight,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to enter the tournament and I will train even harder to win the tournament.”
