The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker – and Brazil’s top World Cup scorer of all time with 15 goals – scored twice in the 2002 final over Germany, the last time they won the tournament.

Brazil reached the final in three straight World Cups between 1994 and 2002, but have not managed to do so since and Ronaldo believes that although it has been a long time, they can win in Russia.
The five-time winners come into the competition having lost only one of their qualifying games, and having secured comfortable victories over Croatia and Austria in recent friendlies.
