Pat Perez sent loud cheers ringing around the East Lake Golf Club with a sensational eagle in the second round of the Tour Championship.
The 41-year-old holed his second shot from 173 yards on the par-four 16th and then celebrated in style.
The ball took two bounces on the green before hitting the pin and dropping into the hole.
Perez threw his iron high into the air and raised both his arms to acknowledge the applause from the galleries.
The American had bogeyed the previous hole but he was buoyed by the eagle and went on to add a birdie at the 18th which gave him a two-under 68 and moved him to four under for the tournament.
That left Perez just three shots off the lead on a tightly-packed leaderboard and he remains firmly in contention heading into the weekend.
