Niall Horan takes on the Drive, Chip and Putt Challenge at Augusta National Golf Club
Niall Horan was in his element as he took on the Drive, Chip and Putt Challenge at Augusta National.
The singer is a big fan of the competition’s format which gives youngsters the chance to demonstrate their golfing skills at the home of the Masters.
The competition is open to boys and girls aged seven to 15, with the finals at Augusta National following regional qualifiers.
Horan hit “some of the best drives he has ever hit” as he took the first DCP challenge and he followed that by demonstrating his ‘Jason Day’ chipping action before celebrating on the green after holing a lengthy putt.
“I think DCP is the best thing to happen to golf in a long time,” said Horan.
“To have a championship with the finals at Augusta National is incredible. This is the way that we are going to get people into the game of golf.
“Augusta have really stepped it up here, taken it to a different level and come up with this initiative that is going to change the game for the better, hopefully.”
