Watch how Kolkata's Andre Russell thrashed 11 sixes in his side's defeat to Chennai in the IPL.
It’s not often you smash 11 sixes and end up on the losing side – but that’s exactly what happened to Andre Russell in Tuesday’s IPL fixture between Chennai and Kolkata!
The powerful West Indian (88no off 36) cleared the ropes with regularity at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, including six times off compatriot Dwayne Bravo as KKR posted 202-6.

“Kolkata will probably think they’ve got enough,” said Harsha Bhogle on commentary as Russell soaked up the applause while walking off – but they didn’t have enough. Sam Billings made sure of that.
The England and Kent man built on a rumbustious opening stand between Watson (42 off 19) and Ambati Rayudu (39 off 26) with a 23-ball 56, three of his five sixes coming off countryman Tom Curran.
Bravo and Jadeja then creamed sixes in Vinay Kumar’s final over – Jadeja’s match-winning one sailing over long-on – as Chennai made it back-to-back wins to kick off the IPL.
