Stoke are in talks with Galatasaray over a deal for midfielder Badou Ndiaye, according to Sky sources.
Ndiaye was left out of the Galatasaray squad for yesterday’s 2-0 win over Osmanlispor.
And the Turkish club said in a statement: “Badou Ndiaye has received offers from clubs overseas.
“Badou has been removed from the squad set to face Osmanlispor as he is currently distracted from his on-field duties by the transfer talks.”
It is understood Stoke are keen to sign the Senegal international but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement.
However, Ndiaye is believed to favour a move to Stoke and the Premier League.
Galatasaray general manager Abdurrahim Albayrak said on Saturday: “Ndiaye said he wanted to go, that the proposal was attractive.
“(Head Coach) Fatih (Terim) has acted like a father to him and told him we need him, but there are some serious offers and, if our footballers want to go, you cannot force anyone to stay.”
