Reece Oxford given go-ahead by West Ham to rejoin Gladbach on loan

West Ham have paved the way for Reece Oxford to rejoin Borussia Monchengladbach on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year old was due to meet David Moyes at the London Stadium on Wednesday morning and it was thought the West Ham manager was considering blocking the move.

However, Sky Sports News understands Oxford was due to arrive in Dusseldorf on Wednesday afternoon to finalise the deal.

The teenager made four appearances while on loan with Gladbach this season but returned to the London Stadium after being recalled over the festive season.

Gladbach made a bid in the region of £10m for Oxford on January 2 and the club’s sports director later reiterated their desire to tie Oxford to a permanent deal.

Time is against them as all the paperwork for any potential loan will have to be completed before Germany’s transfer window closes at 5pm UK time.

Oxford came on as an 86th-minute substitute for Cheikhou Kouyate during the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
