Prevent came with a wet sail in the closing stages to open his account in the Enhanced World Cup Prices At 188Bet Handicap at Newmarket.

“We had a few winners (on Wednesday) but a few issues as well. We thought we’d got up at Salisbury and we had one fall out of the stalls at Kempton last night. We’ve had a few seconds so it’s nice to see the horses win,” said the Hampshire handler.

Aces (4-1) came up trumps when produced a late winning hand in the 188Bet Mobile Bet10 Get20 Handicap and complete a 39-1 double for Moore.

The six-year-old has adapted well since joining trainer Ian Williams from the French stable of John Hammond and made it two victories from three starts for new connections.

Successful at Epsom last time, the 4-1 shot got home by a head and the same from Sir Titan and Sea Fox in a bunch finish.

Andrea Atzeni had to switch Luca Cumani’s charge three furlongs out to make a challenge but once in the clear Ashington knuckled out to defeat Mapped by a length.

After showing promise when second on her debut, Happy Odyssey (9-2) went one better under Tom Marquand with a battling success by three-quarters of a length from newcomer Fox Coach for trainer Amy Murphy in the England V Belgium Specials At 188Bet Novice Auction Stakes.

Racing Country (9-4), trained by Saeed bin Suroor, reeled in Glenglade in the last 100 yards to take division one of the Download The App At 188Bet Maiden Stakes by a length and three-quarters in the hands of Edward Greatrex.

Jane Chapple-Hyam’s newcomer Naval Intelligence (10-1) crept up the far rail under John Egan to claim division two by half a length from Restive Spirit.
