Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is among a number of footballing stars to take part in some footgolf at Wentworth
Premier League title-winning head coach Pep Guardiola was one of a number of footballing stars to take part in footgolf at Wentworth.
The Manchester City boss had earlier made his debut in the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am at the European Tour’s HQ, alongside Tommy Fleetwood, who he was playing golf with when he found out City had won the league.
The fun-filled nature of celebrities playing with professional golfers was clear to see when Guardiola and fellow playing partners Matt Le Tissier and Peter Schmeichel had a go at some footgolf at the 18th.
The water hazard at the par-five 18th, part of the course overhaul at Wentworth in recent years, was the major obstacle as they aimed to hit the perfect approach shot.
Former PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy, who had played alongside former Manchester United players Teddy Sheringham, Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick during the morning wave of starters, also get in on the act.
