Antonio Conte, who managed him at Juventus, says Paul Pogba is a top player who must be managed in the 'right way'
Antonio Conte says Paul Pogba is a “fantastic” player and his coaches need to “find the right way to manage him”.
Pogba has been criticised for his recent Manchester United performances, with many citing Jose Mourinho’s tactical use of the midfielder as the cause of his problem.

The Portuguese acknowledged Pogba’s preferred position was on the left of a 4-3-3, and now Conte – who coached Pogba during their time together at Juventus – says he needs to be managed correctly.
He said: “We are talking about a fantastic player. My expectation is to see him on the pitch.
“Every coach has to find the right way to manage him. Pogba is showing at United he is a top player.”
Chelsea travel to Old Trafford on Sunday, live on Sky Sports, with plenty of focus expected to be on relations between the two managers.
Conte and Mourinho have aimed several barbs at each other during the season and they failed to shake hands at the end of Chelsea’s 1-0 win over United at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign.
Asked about Mourinho, Conte said: “In the past both said things. For me it’s ok. I’m not interested to speak about this topic.”
However, the Italian refused to confirm whether he would shake his counterpart’s hand, instead insisting: “I’m not interested in this.”
