Middlesbrough in talks with Everton over Muhamed Besic loan deal

Middlesbrough are in talks with Everton over a loan deal for midfielder Muhamed Besic, according to Sky sources.

The 25-year-old Bosnian joined Everton from Hungarian side Ferencvaros in 2014 but has made just eight appearances this season with only two coming in the Premier League.

Besic, who has made 37 appearances in total for Everton, has also been subject to interest from Torino.

Sky Sports News understands Boro manager Tony Pulis is also interested in signing New York City winger Jack Harrison on loan, but only if Manchester City buy him from the MLS club before the window shuts.

City are close to agreeing a deal to sign the England U21, who arrived in the UK on Tuesday, Sky Sports News understands.

The potential arrivals of Besic and Harrison could have ramifications for Adam Clayton’s future at the Sky Bet Championship side, with the midfielder having made 15 league appearances this season.
