Asmir Begovic, Matthew Upson and Jonathan Northcroft joined David Jones on The Debate to discuss all the big football talking points.
After Ronald Koeman’s sacking by Everton on Monday, the panellists considered who might take over at Goodison Park and what has gone wrong this season.
Former England and West Ham defender Upson said Burnley’s Sean Dyche would be a “logical” choice.
“He has put together teams that are organised and very difficult to beat,” he commented. “It does fit the blueprint for what Everton are. Everton need a positive structure to know how they are playing.”
There was also discussion about Slaven Bilic’s future at West Ham and who might take charge at Leicester after Craig Shakespeare’s departure.
And the panelists finished by reflecting on Liverpool’s performance against Tottenham and how Jurgen Klopp made a strong statement with his post-match comments.
