Levante want to sign Fulham’s highly-rated 17-year old central midfielder Matt O’Riley on loan until the end of the season.
However, Sky Sports News understands the youngster is not a player the Whites want to loan out this month.
Fulham sources have indicated they are prepared to let fellow academy star Tayo Edun go on loan for his development, while they are also willing to allow Porto loanee Rafa Soares to join another club.
Soares, who has made just three Championship appearances, has fallen even further down the selection order after the West London club signed Matt Targett on loan from Southampton.
Midfielder Edun, 19, has made four appearances for Fulham this season and is rated highly by boss Slavisa Jokanovic, as is O’Riley, who has made two first-team appearances.
Levante, who are 16th in La Liga, are keen to boost their midfield options and believe England U18 O’Riley would do that.
Manchester City and Arsenal were reported to be interested in the teenager, who is eligible to play for Norway, Denmark and England, before he signed his first pro deal at Fulham in November.
