League One and Two round-up: Blackburn win, Luton lose

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One game between Blackburn and Walsall

Danny Graham scored twice as Blackburn beat Walsall 3-1 at Ewood Park to move second in Sky Bet League One.

With promotion rivals Shrewsbury not in action, Rovers took full advantage as they closed to within a point of leaders Wigan, who have played two games less.

Graham put the home side ahead after only five minutes and headed in a second just after the half hour. Joe Edwards reduced the deficit on 37 minutes. However, Bradley Dack restored Rovers’ two-goal advantage two minutes into the second half.

In Sky Bet League Two, leaders Luton suffered a 3-2 home defeat against promotion-chasing Wycombe.

Grimsby finished with nine men as they went down 3-0 at Yeovil, who put the disappointment of their FA Cup defeat by Manchester United behind them.

Coventry continued their FA Cup momentum with a 3-1 home win over Cambridge, which puts them fourth. Newport, who held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw in their FA Cup tie on Saturday, were brought down to earth with a 3-1 defeat at Lincoln.

Swindon moved into the play-off places with a 1-0 win at Stevenage, where Ollie Banks’ header after 16 minutes proved enough for victory.
