Kyle Edmund continued his progress in Marrakech with a straight sets victory that moves him into the quarter-finals.
The British No 1 beat Romania’s Radu Albot 6-4 6-2 on Thursday in the second round of the Grand Prix Hassan II.
Edmund was the second seed heading into the ATP 250 – No 1 seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas was eliminated on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who took over as Great Britain’s highest-ranked player from Andy Murray earlier this year, benefited from Jiri Vesely retiring injured to win his first match of the week.
Edmund will play Mischa Zverev, the No 8 seed, in the quarter-finals.
