Jonny Evans will be restored to the West Brom captaincy for Saturday’s game at home to Huddersfield, Sky Sports News understands.
Evans was one of four Albion players who admitted to breaking a club curfew while the team were on a training camp in Barcelona last week.
He apologised, along with Gareth Barry, Boaz Myhill and Jake Livermore following the incident late at night outside a fast food restaurant.
The 30-year-old was stripped of the honour for last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Southampton in the FA Cup.
Manager Alan Pardew admitted that his decision to take the armband off the Northern Ireland international was done to “make a statement”, but the Baggies boss has decided that it is now right to reinstate his captain.
On Monday, it was confirmed that a Spanish court has decided not to pursue a case against the four players, but Sky Sports News understand they will be disciplined by the club.
