Goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar booked for diving in Real Madrid win over Leganes

Keeper booked for diving!

Leganes goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar got a yellow card after this theatrical moment in his side’s 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid.

The home goalkeeper threw himself to the floor clutching his ankle after Theo Hernandez charged down a shot in the 85th minute.

But the referee was not fooled and brandished a yellow card when Cuellar stood up moments later.

Wednesday night’s match was a bad one for the goalkeeper overall, as it finished 3-1 to Real Madrid.

Unai Bustinza put the hosts ahead in the sixth minute when he dived at the feet of Theo Hernandez and managed to divert his clearance into the net with his head.

But Real, who started with Gareth Bale on the bench, hit back before half-time with goals from Lucas Vazquez and Casemiro.

Sergio Ramos wrapped up the win with a 90th-minute penalty as Zinedine Zidane’s side closed the gap on leaders Barcelona to 14 points.
