French GP: The grid

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will start on the front row for just the second time this season at Sunday’s French GP, with Sebastian Vettel third.

The Ferrari driver will start the race, live and exclusive on Sky F1 at 3.10pm, on the faster but less durable ultrasoft tyres, with both Mercedes and Red Bulls on the supersofts.

Brendon Hartley will start at the back of the grid after taking engine penalties due to his Honda power unit’s failure in practice, lifting the Williams drivers up a place each.
