Manager Claude Puel says highly rated defender Harry Maguire is continuing to develop well at Leicester
Manager Claude Puel says Leicester can ensure they keep players such as Harry Maguire if they continue to progress as a club.
England defender Maguire has been linked with a move away but said earlier in the week that he sees his future at Leicester.
And Puel thinks Maguire and other players will remain happy to stay if they feel they can fulfil their ambitions at the club.
“It is a good example with Harry, with other players in our team,” said Puel.
“They can have interest from other clubs but it is interesting to listen to Harry.

“He believes in our work, his work with Leicester, and I hope we can continue to develop the club and to be higher up in the table.
“It is a long process but also an exciting process.
“I hope we can give him and other players more possibility to play higher up in the table.
“It is important they always have a good ambition for the club and themselves.”
Leicester turned down offers for Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City in the last window and Puel thinks further offers could come in for key players this summer.
But the Frenchman says Leicester can be a club where players want to stay put and further their careers.
“If we can have good results, if we can continue to develop the players, then clubs can have interest in our players,” he said.
“But if the players like the play, the fans, the club and, most importantly, they feel the club is continuing to make progress, to improve, they can have good ambition with the club.
“It is important to have a good understanding and look forward together.”
More immediately, Leicester host Stoke on Saturday, and Puel wants more from his team in the league.
The Foxes are through to the FA Cup quarter-finals but are without a League win since 20 January.
Puel said: “I think it is important to come back, because last time it was not enough about our result (a 5-1 loss at Manchester City).
“To come back with a good attitude and conviction, because I think we lost a lot of points in the last games.
“It is close between many teams but it is a good challenge until the end of the season to try and get a good position in the table.”
