Bryson DeChambeau gives us a remarkable masterclass in the Sky Zone as he demonstrates his scientific method of putting
Bryson DeChambeau has earned the nickname “The Scientist” due to his unique approach to golf, and he gave us a remarkable putting insight in the Sky Zone at TPC Sawgrass.
DeChambeau, well-placed on seven under heading into the weekend of The Players Championship, is renowned for his meticulous preparation and unique methods, including having all of his irons in the bag the same length.
But his technique for working out the pace and break of a putt has to be seen to be believed, and the American is clearly a master of mathematics as well as being a world-class golfer.
DeChambeau uses PuttView technology in practice, which he insists is helpful to “train his brain” when lining up putts of all lengths with different variations of pace and break.
But can he apply the science and sink a seven-foot putt on the Zen Green, running at 11 on the stimp with four degrees of break from left-to-right?
Watch the video to find out, and don’t miss live coverage from TPC Sawgrass throughout the weekend on Sky Sports The Players.
