Moustache Mountain won the NXT tag team titles at the Royal Albert Hall

British tag team Tyler Bate and Trent Seven – known as Moustache Mountain – have won the NXT tag team titles.

The pair defeated Undisputed Era duo Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly in a superb match on the second night of WWE’s double-header at the Royal Albert Hall.

“I wrestled Kyle O’Reilly in 2010 and we were both a lot younger then – I was also a lot fatter and a lot worse,” Seven said after the match.

“To then be standing across the ring from him at the Royal Albert Hall for the NXT tag team titles is just crazy. There’s no way we could ever have contemplated that.

“And then Adam Cole – I stayed in his house when I did my first tour of America. I say tour, it was one match and it was officially voted the worst match that year.

“It’s come full circle. The crowds are up, the quality is up and the production values are up.”

It is the second time Bate has held WWE championship gold, having been the company’s first United Kingdom champion before losing that title to Pete Dunne.
