After two frantic days of bidding, the IPL auction is over and the franchises are left to reflect on the squads they’ve got. But who did the best business?

Ben Stokes was the most expensive player of the 169 bought during the draft, joining the Rajasthan Royals for £1.4m and will be joined at the returning franchise by England team-mate Jos Buttler.

Joe Root was not picked up in the auction but Mark Wood will get his first taste of IPL cricket after being snaffled by Chennai Super Kings for £165,500.

In total there are eight England players heading to India with Jofra Archer, who has stated his desire to represent England, also involved after impressing in Australia’s Big Bash League.
