US, Chinese Companies Sign Deals Worth $9 Bln During Trump’s Visit – Reports

US President Donald Trump’s visit to China has reportedly been fruitful in terms of business interests.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – US and Chinese companies have signed 19 deals worth $9 billion at a ceremony in Beijing attended by US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang during US President Donald Trump’s visit to China, the KSDK NBC-affiliated broadcaster reported.
The details of the deals have not been released yet, however, media reports suggested that Trump is going to announce bilateral deals with China in the fields of energy, agriculture and aviation, as the US delegation comprises representatives of various US corporations, including Blackstone Group, Boeing, Caterpillar, Cheniere Energy and Qualcomm.
Ahead of Trump’s visit to China, which started earlier in the day and will end on November 10, a part of his large Asia-Pacific tour, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed hope that the US president’s trip will play an important role in the further development of bilateral relations and contribute to peace, stability and prosperity not only in the Asia-Pacific region, but worldwide.

The political agenda of Trump’s visit is likely to focus on the North Korean nuclear issue, with the Chinese Foreign Ministry stating earlier in the day that Beijing honors all its commitments on the issue.
